Fujitsu Awarded Fourteen New Services on CloudStore III

Fujitsu UK & Ireland

London, May 09, 2013

The Government Procurement Service has confirmed that Fujitsu UK & Ireland has been awarded a place on the relevant lots for 14 new services on G-Cloudiii, adding to the existing 28 standardised services the IT services expert already has available on the Cloudstore.

The G-Cloud framework, the value of which was assessed at £100m, is designed to drive down costs by allowing public sector bodies to procure ‘pay as you go’ services from over 708 suppliers, when needed, rather than sign up to lengthy contracts.

Over the last 18 months the G-Cloud framework has been continually assessed with new services from providers being added on a bi-yearly basis to allow additional choice and flexibility for the public sector IT market. The addition of fourteen new services means that public bodies in the UK will be able to procure more flexible and agile services from Fujitsu’s broad range of offerings, in the following categories:

  • Applications Insight Application Value Assessment
  • Backup as a Service
  • Bring Your Own Device Assessment
  • IT Management as a Service
  • Legacy Modernisation Application Value Assessment
  • Legacy Modernisation Professional Services
  • Niche Police Shared Platform
  • Office 365 Suitability and Technical Assessment Service
  • Private Cloud Platform
  • SAP HANA Professional Services
  • SAP Managed Service
  • SAP Professional Services
  • Secure Scan to Cloud
  • Tailored Application Value Assessment

With Fujitsu’s experience in delivering some of the public sectors most successful and innovative IT projects the company is well positioned to provide valuable Cloud services through the third iteration of the G-Cloud framework.

Nigel Kirby-Green, Executive Director, Public Sector at Fujitsu UK & Ireland, commented, “Being awarded an additional fourteen service offering slots on CloudStore is a testament to the excellent work Fujitsu has delivered, and continues to deliver, in the public sector. As a global leading technology company driving the delivery of cloud based services, we understand the increasing pressures these organisations face when it comes to reducing costs and ensuring a more transparent and agile procurement process is realised.

“Along with our established Cloud delivery capabilities, we also believe that we can bring a unique value to public sector buyers through the work we do with our technology partners, including many UK SMEs. And with our 42 Cloud-based services available via CloudStore III, Fujitsu is also committed to supporting the Government’s future vision.”

All 42 of Fujitsu’s services were made available on the CloudStore on 7 May and are part of the G-Cloud framework.
