Fujitsu Announces Charity Partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support

Fujitsu today announced its new charity partner for 2016 – 2018, which will be Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan is the UK’s leading cancer care charity, with the objective of improving the lives of everyone affected by cancer and encouraging others to do the same.

Fujitsu will work with Macmillan to create a single technology platform to revolutionise the way that volunteers engage with the charity, This new platform will enable Macmillan to better recruit and mobilise the volunteers who are vital to ensuring the charity can reach everyone affected by cancer. The company will also engage in fundraising activity and other initiatives aimed at benefitting and supporting Macmillan.

Fujitsu’s charity partnerships are part of the company’s commitment to making a positive contribution to society and the communities it operates in. Fujitsu’s previous charity partners were Action For Children from 2014 to 2016 and Shelter from 2012 to 2014.

Find out more about our partnership with Macmillan. We have pledged to raise £200,000 over two years through a range of employee-led events, including donating an hour’s wage, Easter fundraisers, quizzes, golf days, 5K races and more - in the first year, our employees raised over £100,000.
