Fujitsu Electronics Europe

Langen, February 15, 2016

At Fujitsu Electronics Europe, employees enjoy an exceptional workplace culture. Therefore, the company was awarded with the famous Top Job seal by former German Economics Minister Wolfgang Clement in Berlin on February 12. The Top Job mentor praised Fujitsu Electronics Europe in particular for the strategic orientation towards sustainable skilled workers through increased employer attractiveness. The Value Added Distributor specialized in complex electronic solutions participated in the Top Job competition for several years and is nominated as best employer in the electronics industry and second best within the company size category. The quality seal Top Job, which is awarded by the Center for Employment Branding, zeag GmbH, stands for companies, which invest in a remarkable way in a healthy workplace culture. The seal reflects the quality of personnel management, the high labour satisfaction and low fatigue levels within the workforce.

Top Job Award 2016

Top Job is awarded since 2002. Fujitsu Electronics Europe achieved impressive results over the last years when it comes to company culture and to efforts to reconcile work and family. The company with 50 employees cultivates next to an open communication culture primarily a family and trusting relationship with each other. In addition, FEEU offers individual and flexible working time models to address individual needs of employees.

"In our business, it is not just about high-tech solutions and products, but primarily about the knowledge of people," says FEEU’s managing director Axel Tripkewitz. "For us, the Top Job award is an important tool to convince highly qualified applicants to join our team. Everyone should know that Fujitsu is an employer who offers good careers. In addition, we see this award as a benchmark to compete with the best. So we know where we stand and we can continue to improve."

For the Top Job competition, the scientists of the Institute for Leadership and Human Resource Management at the University of St. Gallen under the direction of Prof. Dr. Heike Bruch, surveyed the personnel management as well as the HR methods and tools companies use. In addition, they conducted an employee survey that counts to two thirds into the final result. The last third reflects the implemented HR instruments.

For the current Top Job award up to 103 medium-sized companies have applied. 93 companies are allowed to bear the seal. In total, 19,884 employees were surveyed. More than 50% worked in family-led companies. Among the best employers are 21 national and 11 world-market leaders. On average, the companies employ 305 employees and the proportion of women in leadership positions is at an average of 23%.
