K computer takes first place in Graph 500 supercomputer ranking for sixth consecutive time

A collaboration between Kyushu University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, RIKEN, Barcelona Supercomputing Center, Fujitsu Limited and Fixstars Corporation has again won first place with the K computer in the November 2017 Graph 500 supercomputer ranking. This demonstrates the Japanese supercomputer's prowess in the area of data-intensive processing. The results were announced on November 16th at SC17 (the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis) in Denver, Colorado.
