Fujitsu is prime or tier 1 contractor for:

CHOTS
The MOD’s Corporate HQ Office Technology System was one of the world’s most advanced IT infrastructures in 1991 and still supports 25,000 civilian and forces personnel. It’s operational at 24 HQ locations and 60 subsidiaries in the UK, Europe and the USA. The Army’s CASH system (4,500 workstations) is virtually identical. DII is a development of CHOTS.

DII Convergence
A standard architecture for the convergence of existing systems into a single IT infrastructure, using commercial off the shelf hardware and software and offering up to five nines availability. Fujitsu took the long term vision of DII (F) and created a modular solution that allowed access to legacy applications without affecting the original application.

DII Future
A single, secure Defence Information Infrastructure, from business space to battlespace that will serve 300,000 users across all arms of the military. The new, secure infrastructure is key to the Defence modernisation strategy and will open the way for the planned Network Enabled Capability (NEC). The first increment of this project is being delivered by the ATLAS Consortium, of which we are a tier 1 member.

Project Home
Fujitsu was responsible for the project management, integration and implementation of the new IT infrastructure for 3,000 users in the new MOD Head Office. We also handled user training and we manage the system day by day. The system enables real collaboration between users, despite extremely stringent multi-level security.

NavyStar
A new IT infrastructure for ships ands submarines using ruggedised commercial hardware and software products, saving money and space without sacrificing strength or reliability (PCs are the size of set-top boxes and can withstand 70G). The Fujitsu service is ‘shelf to ship’ including design, manufacture, supply and support.

RAF CCIS
A system to meet the current operational command and control needs of the RAF giving real time control of air assets and flight programme management as well as office automation, email and intranet services. RAF CCIS now has 15,000 accounts and 5,000 users on 1,500 terminals. In future, all RAF CCIS capabilities will be carried forward into the planned JC2SS implementation which will cover all component commands, including Air.

RASDA
This system provides data gathering, analysis and reporting plus flying operations management at wing and squadron level. It’s totally secure, yet is accessible through standard web browsers under UNIX or Windows NT.

Eurofighter Typhoon
We are working with Bae Systems and CASA on the European Eurofighter programme and Ground Support Systems for the aircraft. Fujitsu’s UK, Spanish, German and Italian arms are providing fixed and deployable IT infrastructures to their airforces. These run both engineering and mission support systems essential to the aircraft’s operation.

Military Messaging
Over 15,000 Defence and Intelligence personnel use secure, formal messaging solutions provided by Fujitsu. We have over 400 man-years of messaging experience and we design, develop, build and support our own products as well as partnering with other System Integrators, as appropriate. Fujitsu messaging solutions are operational in: UK MOD Central, the Royal Air Force, the Royal Navy, Joint, Other Government Departments, the Royal Netherlands Navy, the New Zealand Defence Force.
New Zealand Defence Force

SYNERGY
Communications and IT support for Op TELIC in the field. The service is managed entirely by Fujitsu personnel, in theatre, freeing up military resources for deployment elsewhere. Fujitsu people have lived and worked so closely with military staff that they have become eligible for campaign medals.

Applications include:

SAPPHIRE
This system, accessible by all field units including those in the Middle East and the Falklands, processes achievement data from almost any spreadsheet or database and allows analysis via balanced scorecards with any number of perspectives and objectives. The system also shows the performance and risk position at all levels within an organisation.

ACCELERATOR
Using commercial off the shelf hardware and software, this system improves effectiveness and decision making by enabling fighters and planners to share information and build an accurate operational picture that can be accessed at fixed base or in the field, even if data networks are degraded.

CUBE
This application aids battlefield responsiveness by collating data (geographical, documentary or meteorological) on every event that occurs during an operation. All information is gathered into a web interface and is summarised in a single document for ease of use and rapid understanding. Full audit and traceability paths are provided
