Łódź, Poland, March 12, 2018 – Fujitsu Poland today announced that Fujitsu Global Delivery Center (GDC) Poland opens a new office space in the .KTW I building in Katowice, which is one of the most unique and prestigious office projects in the Silesia region in Poland, in July with the intention to hire 200 specialists for various IT roles. Reinforcing Fujitsu’s presence in Poland, in addition to Lodz, Katowice is the second GDC location in Poland. Fujitsu’s GDC in Poland is part of a network of eight Global Delivery Centers worldwide supporting customers in more than 100 countries.
Marcin Krupa, Mayor of Katowice, comments: “Fujitsu’s decision to choose our city is proof that Katowice remains a strong brand on Poland’s investment map. We are more than happy that yet another global giant appreciates that our area with more than two million residents both has great investment potential and is, at the same time, a great place to live”.
Piotr Jankowski, Head of Fujitsu Global Delivery Center Poland, says: “Our new location in Katowice shows the great level of work that is being provided by our GDC employees in our existing office in Łódź over the last 9 years. We aim to develop our operations in Poland ambitiously, including expanding to other cities in Poland in search of talented IT professionals. Katowice was chosen as the new location after careful analysis. As a hub for companies and talents in the IT industry, the Silesia area offers excellent potential for us to develop and grow further”.
During the coming months, Fujitsu plans to recruit 200 new employees in various specialist roles for the services delivered out of Katowice to global customers. Recruitment for new talent has just started. Open positions in the Katowice office can be found and applied through the website
Fujitsu is seeking talents to join teams representing four business lines: Research & Development and Business Application Services, Remote Infrastructure Management, Service Desk and Service Management.
“Working with Fujitsu is a great chance for developing a career in an international environment. Globally, our GDC teams consist of specialists representing almost 40 nationalities and speaking 40 languages,” Piotr Jankowski says.
Fujitsu’s Katowice GDC office will be located in .KTW I – a building designed by Silesian Medusagroup architectural design studio. A perfect location at the very heart of the city, next to the iconic Spodek, Silesian Museum, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and the International Conference Centre makes it one of the most sought-after office buildings in this part of Poland.
Maciej Wójcik, CEO TDJ Estate, says: “We are delighted that Fujitsu will become a major tenant of the first office at .KTW. The decision to choose both Katowice and our building located in the central part of the city, in the direct vicinity of Culture Zone, shows that the city and its commercial proposition continues to attract global companies. We have always placed focus on the high quality of our proposition, the latest technology solutions and the comfort of our prospective tenants, from a long-term perspective. The fact that Fujitsu will be our tenant confirms our belief that we are on the right path”.
Fujitsu will be the biggest tenant in the .KTW I building. Colliers International was the company responsible for advisory services during the leasing process.
Barbara Pryszcz, General Director Colliers Katowice, adds: “Choosing Katowice confirms that the Silesian market meets the highest standards and expectations. Its potential – in terms of workforce and innovative office space – addresses our client’s needs.”
