Fujitsu's first Japanese word processor OASYS100 was released in 1980, employing a Fujitsu-original "Thumb-Shift Keyboard". The name OASYS (Office Automation SYStem), which was decided after public offering, continued to be used for Fujitsu's Japanese word processors and became one of its most well-known brands.
