FETEX-3700 electronic switching system used in COINS

In the 1980s, OA (office automation) was proceeding in corporations and the construction of networks between offices and between companies was expanding. To build comprehensive networks to answer these needs, Fujitsu systematized its technology and products into the corporate information communication network system COINS (Corporate Information Network System) and released it in 1984. This COINS system integrated data, audio, faxes, images, and other content which had previously been treated separately, into a multimedia network, and was a valuable asset in constructing optimal, economical networks with high reliability.
