Juniper QFX5120

Juniper QFX5120

QFX5120 Switches offer 1 U, 10/25/100GbE fixed configuration ideal for data centers where cloud services are being added. These services require higher network bandwidth per rack, making 10GbE, 25GbE and 100GbE the dominant port speeds in most data centers.

Coupled with the widespread adoption of overlay technologies, the QFX5120 lays a strong infrastructure foundation for the evolving business and network needs. The switch is packed with software features that support traditional fabric designs with multichassis link aggregation (MC-LAG) or evolving SDN architectures with Ethernet VPN (EVPN)/Virtual Extensible (VXLAN) on IP fabric underlays. All QFX switches form the foundation of Juniper Contrail Networking, which automates networking policy and performs life-cycle management for data center fabrics.

The QFX5120 is ideal for leaf-and-spine network deployments and comes in three models:

  • QFX5120-32C: data center compact spine with 32 x 100GbE
  • QFX5120-48Y: data center access with 48 x 25/100GbE and 8 x 40/100GbE ports
  • QFX5120-48T: data center access with 48 x 1/10GbE RJ-45 and 6 x 40/100GbE ports

High-Performance Throughput
Redundant Power and Cooling
Advanced Capabilities in Junos OS
Overlay Management

Up to 3.2 Tbps Layer 2 and Layer 3 performance, with latency as low as 550 nanoseconds.

Dual hot-swappable AC or DC power supplies provide 1+1 redundancy, and hot-swappable fan trays maintain high system availability.

Support for advanced networking features such as Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).

Contrail Networking provides connectivity for legacy and cloud-native workloads across multicloud environments.
