Fujitsu certifies and supports Red Hat Enterprise Linux (Server and Advanced Platform) and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server from Novell on its entire line of PRIMERGY and PRIMEQUEST servers.

Backed by a successful and long-lasting strategic alliance between Fujitsu and Oracle, we offer our customers additional choice with respect to enterprise-class Linux by qualifying PRIMERGY servers for Oracle Enterprise Linux. Today customer support for Oracle Enterprise Linux on PRIMERGY servers is available from Oracle Corporation.

Both, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server(SLES) are supported based on a dual-version strategy: The current and the predecessor version of the respective Linux derivate are supported for Fujitsu’s entire PRIMERGY and PRIMEQUEST server lines. This means that not only the latest operating system version can be used with state-of-the-art PRIMERGY systems but also ensures that the most current PRIMERGY systems can be well integrated into existing datacenters.

Linux is an integral part of Fujitsu’s Dynamic Infrastructures portfolio. Dynamic Infrastructures provide flexible IT capacity – made possible through the dynamic IT resource allocation based on the consistent usage of IT standards and the provisioning of flexible IT delivery models. With the Dynamic Infrastructures, Fujitsu created an optimally concerted offering of IT products, IT infrastructure solutions, Infrastructure- as-a-Service and Managed Infrastructure services. The offerings interact with each other and give customers the flexibility to combine them as needed.
