PRIMEPOWER 200, provides plenty of power from up to two new high-performance Fujitsu SPARC64™ GP processor . It also provides the reliability features often not found in entry-level systems. Additional performance, and availability are also possible through the use of PRIMECLUSTER, Fujitsu's robust solution for high-availability cluster solutions.
The Solaris™ Operating Environment has been chosen as the operating system for all PRIMEPOWER servers. This environment
not only provides the very best in platform management,
it also gives you access to all tier-one software vendor applications and over 12,000 world-class specialist ISVs.

High Reliability
- Processors: Unlike other SPARC processors, SPARC64™ GP processor have ECC protection on all cache levels to minimize the possibility
of processor failure. This is a particularly important feature on systems with a small number of processors.
- System Control Facility: A separate and independent processor monitors, detects, accurately diagnoses and notifies you of all system failures. Pre-failure
warnings can also be detected and corrected before system failure, with all functions capable of remote monitoring.
- Design Standards: Although an entry-level server the high reliability of this system matches mainframe standards in design and configuration.
It also features redundant and hot swappable components such as disks, power supplies and fans. In addition the system can
dynamically manage and isolate failures of CPU, memory and I/O bus, allowing business operation to continue using the remaining
operational resources.

High performance and Scalability
The latest 64-bit RISC SPARC64™ GP processor, like their predecessors, fully conform to the SPARC International V9 architecture standard. They also provide superior transaction performance through the use of parallel instruction processing. .
Fujitsu's own high performance crossbar switch technology manages all the inter-processor traffic. Its superior bandwidth provides excellent support for high system or peak load situations caused by OLTP, database searching, Internet user access or other potentially I/O intensive applications.
Superior System Installation
To match customer demands for flexibility, Fujitsu provides both pedestal and rack mount versions of PRIMEPOWER 200. With
the rack mount model, up to 9 units can be mounted in a single 36U/1800mm 19-inch rack providing excellent space saving, and
configuration management in ISP/ASP or data center deployment.
