20 November 2009 Japan: Fujitsu Opens New Annex of Tatebayashi System Center
Tokyo, November 20, 2009 – Fujitsu today announced the recent opening of the new annex of the Tatebayashi System Center, in Gunma Prefecture outside Tokyo, to serve as a core platform for its outsourcing services and next-generation cloud services business in Japan.
19 November 2009 Japan: Fujitsu Submits Cloud API Specification to DMTF And Joins Leadership Board of Open Cloud Standards Incubator
Tokyo, November 19, 2009 – Fujitsu today announced that it and Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. have submitted their cloud API specification to the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF), and that Fujitsu has joined the leadership board of the DMTF Open Cloud Standards Incubator. Fujitsu will actively participate in further standardization work in DMTF and implement this specification on its next generation IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) platform, which will be made available in the second half of 2010 in Japan.

Tokyo, October 5, 2009 – Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Frontech Limited today announced that they have begun to offer the world's first flexible UHF-band RFID tag for garment management that can withstand high-temperature sterilization. The tag is intended for use in uniforms worn by employees at plants that manufacture products such as medical supplies or semiconductors, in which it is necessary to sterilize uniforms at a temperature of 121℃.

Tokyo, September 25, 2009 – Fujitsu today announced that it has won a contract from Daito Gyorui Co., Ltd., a major seafood wholesaler at the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo, outsourcing their mission-critical IT functions for order processing, sales administration, and inventory management to ensure business continuity even in the event of natural disasters and public infrastructure shutdowns. Fujitsu recently began providing the outsourcing services from a datacenter in Japan.
