Fujitsu and Nissin Healthcare Food Service Build Cloud-Based System for Home Food Delivery Service

Tokyo, May 24, 2012 – Fujitsu today announced that it has worked with Nissin Healthcare Food Service Co., Ltd. to build a cloud-based food delivery system for the company's Shokutakubin service, which delivers boxed meals to the homes of subscribers. The system, which went into operation in April, offers nutritious meals safely and comfortably.

Fujitsu Develops World's Smallest and Slimmest Palm Vein Biometric Authentication Sensor Deployable in Tablet Devices

Kawasaki, Japan, May 1, 2012 – Fujitsu Laboratories Limited today announced development of the world's smallest and slimmest palm vein authentication sensor that is capable of being employed in tablet devices. By upgrading the technology's design with new image sensors and other optical components, Fujitsu Laboratories has successfully slimmed down the new sensor to a thickness of 5 mm.

Tokyo, April 27, 2012 – Fujitsu today announced the launch of Data Curation Services/Data Consulting, a service that helps customers analyze big data, assess its value and pick up topics, while proposing new ways to utilize data. The service is run by Fujitsu's team of curators, who are specialists in analytics and modeling. Fujitsu Reports Fiscal 2011 Full-Year Financial Results

Tokyo, April 27, 2012 – Fujitsu today reported consolidated net income of 42.7 billion yen (US$521 million) for fiscal 2011 (April 1, 2011 – March 31, 2012). This was 7.7 billion yen higher than consolidated projections revised and announced in January 2012. Operating income also topped projections, by 5.3 billion yen, thanks to cost cutting measures and streamlining efforts.

Fujitsu Semiconductor to Transfer Ownership of Iwate Plant to DENSO Corporation

Yokohama, April 27, 2012 – DENSO Corporation and Fujitsu Semiconductor Limited have signed an agreement stating Fujitsu Semiconductor will transfer ownership of its Iwate Plant, which is located in Iwate, Japan, to DENSO. The transition of ownership, which consists of the land, building, equipment and employees, will be completed on Oct. 1, 2012. After this time, the plant will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of DENSO.

Fujitsu and VMware Support Tokyo Denki University's Construction of Advanced Environment for Information Sciences Curriculum

Tokyo, April 19, 2012 – Tokyo Denki University (TDU), Fujitsu, and VMware, K.K. today announced that the three organizations worked together to build a virtual desktop environment for TDU that is hosted at Fujitsu's Datacenter. The project involved consolidating 29 educational research system servers that had been spread across Tokyo Denki University's three campuses of Tokyo Senju (relocated from Tokyo Kanda as of April 2012), Saitama Hatoyama, and Chiba New Town, into seven servers at Fujitsu's Datacenter, and building a virtual desktop environment for approximately 1,000 terminals that can use various applications for learning and research.
