Fujitsu Wins GSM Retail Contract; Completes Fastest Deployment of SAP in ANZ

Sydney, December 4, 2007 – Fujitsu Australia & New Zealand completed deployment of an integrated SAP-based ERP solution across 20 new GSM Retail sites in just nine weeks. The first retail site went live only four weeks into the project, which is a record delivery timeframe for an SAP project in Australia and New Zealand.

Australian Aged Care Needs Radical Overhaul to Meet Baby Boomer Demands, According to New Survey

Sydney, October 16, 2007 – The findings of a report launched today suggests that the aged care industry in Australia needs to undergo a major transformation if it is to meet the growing demands of the next wave of retirees – the so-called Baby Boomer generation. The survey of 1,291 Australians between the age of 58 and 61, which was conducted by UltraFeedback on behalf of Fujitsu Australia, portrays a generation who intend to work longer and live independently, yet believe that their available accommodation choices are either limited (30 per cent) or that they have no choice at all (11 per cent).

Study Finds Money Doesn't Buy Innovation

Sydney, October 9, 2007 – Australian organisations have made little progress towards improving their performance on innovation in the past 12 months, according to the Fujitsu Innovation Index 2007. The Index, which was launched today, fell from 64/100 in 2006 to 63/100 in 2007 despite the fact organisations increased spending on innovation by a considerable 37 per cent in the past 12 months.

80% of Bank Customers Would Consider Switching; Poor Service Number One Frustration According to Fujitsu Consulting Survey

Sydney, August 28, 2007 – In a survey of more than 26,000 retail bank customers, launched today by Fujitsu Consulting, 80 per cent of respondents said they would consider switching financial service providers. In the report, entitled 'Toxic servicing: eroding profitability in the financial services sector', poor servicing (31 per cent) ranked as the number one frustration among financial services customers, three times greater than the next biggest frustration, which is complex terms and conditions (10 per cent).

Fujitsu Globally Expands Its Recycling Service for IT products

Tokyo, March 13, 2007 – The Fujitsu Group today announced the expansion of its end-of-life IT products-recycling service. In addition to the voluntary recycling service already underway in Australia, Canada, and the US, the service will be offered at one additional location each in Canada and the US from April 2007. The Fujitsu Group will also expand the service gradually in Southeast Asian countries from May 2007.

Telikom PNG Signs Master Procurement Agreement with Fujitsu Australia Limited

Wellington, January 25, 2007 – Telikom PNG, the national provider of telecommunications services in Papua New Guinea, today announced that it has signed a five-year master procurement agreement with Fujitsu Australia Limited for the provision of digital trunk radio systems and corporate IT infrastructure and services. The agreement, the first signed by Telikom PNG as part of a K1.4 billion (US$500 million) expansion and upgrade of its telecoms network, will see Fujitsu become a major supplier and partner to Papua New Guinea's primary telecommunications service provider.
