  • Fujitsu Named to FORTUNE Magazine's 2017 List of "World's Most Admired Companies" for Fifth Consecutive Year Tokyo, Global, February 23, 2017 - Fujitsu today announced that it has been named to FORTUNE Magazine's 2017 list of "World's Most Admired Companies." This year 323 companies were selected for the list of "World's Most Admired Companies," including 15 companies from Japan. Fujitsu ranked highly in such areas as Global Competitiveness and Financial Soundness, making this the fifth consecutive year it has been selected.

  • Fujitsu Support for Blakiston's Fish Owl Habitat Survey Honored by Japan Nature Conservation Awards Tokyo and Fukuoka, Japan, Global, February 20, 2017 - Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Kyushu Network Technologies Limited have been recognized at the Japan Nature Conservation Awards for an initiative that provides software in support of habitat surveys for the Blakiston's fish owl, an endangered species. In the initiative, the two companies have since 2012 provided the Wild Bird Society of Japan with a software program that automatically extracts the owl's calls with high accuracy. Using this program greatly reduces the number of people and the amount of time required to analyze the audio data, which enabled the survey to cover a larger area, and to be conducted at more frequent intervals. As a result, it has contributed to the confirmation of the owl living in areas beyond those that were known habitats.

  • Fujitsu Conducts Field Trials to Grasp Irrigation Water Levels, Improve Agricultural Productivity in Myanmar Tokyo, Global, February 17, 2017 - Fujitsu today announced that it has conducted two types of field trials in which data on irrigation and river water levels could be easily managed. Fujitsu has now reported the results of the trials, which were conducted in the Taungoo region of Myanmar from late 2016 to January 31, 2017, to the trials' cooperating authority, the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department of the Myanmar Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation.
