Why to contact Fujitsu for your VMware project?

Many years ago Fujitsu introduced VMware’s server-virtualization layer VMware vSphere ESXi and the central management VMware vCenter as VMware’s second OEM partner worldwide. Such a long cooperation and thousands of successfully completed virtualization and cloud projects directly influenced the development of Fujitsu’s server, storage, solutions and services. Consequently Fujitsu’s portfolio covers most of VMware offerings as integrated components.

Several benchmark records of FUJITSU Server PRIMERGY and FUJITSU Server PRIMEQUEST in VMware’s benchmark VMmark underline Fujitsu’s technology leadership in the x86 server market. After Fujitsu x86 servers passed the no longer valid single system benchmark VMmark 1.1.1 as No. 1 in all participated disciplines, the Fujitsu x86 servers have continued their success with several No. 1 positions in the current multi-system benchmark VMmark 2.x (e.g. 14 of 17 No. 1 positions in January 2016).

The management of Fujitsu’s x86 servers, FUJITSU Software ServerView, is deeply integrated with VMware’s management tools. Likewise, FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS DX systems and their management are integrated into the VMware vCenter management. Among other things, ETERNUS DX have supported VMware Virtual Volumes (VVOLs) from the beginning. To enable a complete, automated disaster recovery solution for your vSphere virtualized environment, Fujitsu offers VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager (SRM).

In addition to the VMware-harmonized and optimized product portfolio, Fujitsu also supports the fast track to setup data center infrastructures while leveraging VMware technology with FUJITSU Integrated System PRIMEFLEX. Fujitsu, as a VMware Virtual SAN partner from the outset, exploits its experience to generate reference architectures that help customers and partners to leverage software defined storage. These various reference architectures are called PRIMEFLEX for VMware VSAN. An alternative ready-to-run solution especially for large scale environments that leverages additionally VMware NSX for an entire software defined data center is PRIMEFLEX for VMware EVO SDDC.

Also with the aim of eliminating risks at the customer site and drastically reducing time to operation, we provide complete and pre-validated classical virtualization solutions like PRIMEFLEX vShape. It includes FUJITSU Server PRIMERGY, FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS, network technology and all other infrastructure components, such as Fujitsu PRIMECENTER rack(s) and cabling. The extended use case for private cloud is addressed with the reference architecture PRIMEFLEX for VMware vCloud. In addition to the entire stack of PRIMEFLEX vShape, it also considers the licenses and configuration of VMware vCloud Suite. Moreover, together with client devices from Fujitsu our customers achieve ready-to-run virtual desktop infrastructures with PRIMEFLEX for VMware VDI.
