Fujitsu secures 3 year Managed Service contract to support Airtricity’s business applications

October 16, 2006

Fujitsu have recently won a three year Managed Service contract to manage and maintain Airtricity’s ‘Market Interface’ business applications which reach across sales & marketing, customer care, registration and customer billing functions.

Fujitsu has worked on many projects with Airtricity in the past assisting them to develop their business applications particularly in response to the deregulation of the electricity market in January 2005. Airtricity contracted Fujitsu to assist them re-orientate their existing business processes and legacy systems so they could participate in the market place which, due to deregulation, now has a formal design.

Regina Moran, general manager of Fujitsu Service Ireland commented: "Having worked with Airtricity for a number of years, we have a clear vision of how we can provide them with the support they need to remain competitive in this rapidly changing marketplace. Our thorough understanding of what Airtricity demands from their IT systems, allows us to provide a tailored service to assist in achieving our goals."

Liam Ó’Riain, IS Operations Manager, with Airtricity comments: “We have worked with Fujitsu in the past in which time they persistently demonstrated the skills and capacity to deal with technical issues, process changes and changing business requirements. Based on this positive experience we have since decided to engage Fujitsu for a three year managed service contract. We were happy with the levels of service provided by Fujitsu in the past and we are confident they will continue to offer us these same levels of service throughout the term of this contract. When a service provider is as focused on ‘partnership’ as Fujitsu are then it’s a win win scenario.”
