The Business Servers S175 together with the operating system BS2000 are simply the best when it comes to performance, economic viability, ease of operation and automation. Due to the state-of-the-art processor technology and optimized system design, the S175 servers require less power for operation. Fibre Channel connections enable the use of state-of-the-art communication networks and storage concepts, such as Storage Area Networks (SAN). The Business Servers S175 are supported as of operating system BS2000/OSD-BC 7.0.

Low-priced model entry with high flexibility levels

The system family S175 consists of nine models with up to three processing processors that cover a performance range of 170 to 1040 RPF. Applications needing a lot of mono-processor power benefit from the scaling offered - from mono-processor to 3-times processor. Making the extensions to the more powerful model does not require much effort and only needs a brief interruption to operations.

The technical performance features in the S175 series increase the economic viability of the system in comparison to its predecessor system. The high mono-processor performance and the excellent system availability makes this system family ideal for simultaneously operating standard and individual applications, for comprehensive and often time-critical batch processing as well as for OLTP and data warehouse applications. The BS2000 servers in the S175 series thus protect any investments made in software, hardware and staff training.
The use of highly integrated multicore processors has reduced power consumption by up to 20% compared to its predecessors. Volatile organic connections have been completely removed from the housing paintwork so that the S175 models are particularly environmentally friendly.
