Fujitsu Laboratories of America to host Technology Symposium: Paving the Road to Unlimited Bandwidth – Technologies and Applications for a Connected Age

Experts from industry, academia, and government discuss policy, technology and end user impact of bandwidth on demand

 Fujitsu Laboratories of America today announced that it will host its sixth annual technology symposium in Mountain View, California on the topic of “Paving the Road to Unlimited Bandwidth: Technologies and Applications for a Connected Age.” This event will focus on how a new generation of applications across the industry spectrum, including education, intelligent transportation and smart grid, will drive the development and deployment of a scalable, next-generation network infrastructure.

Keynote speakers include executives from AT&T, Gig.U, The Aspen Institute and Fujitsu Network Communications, who will be discussing the future of ubiquitous broadband and its impact on society and media, as well as providing insights on the challenges and opportunities ahead. Other panelists and speakers at the symposium include representatives from BTI Systems, Cisco, DOCOMO Innovations, Ford, Fujitsu, Google, Idaho National Labs, Intelligent Transportation Society of America, National LambdaRail, Microsoft, MIT, North County Transit District, PARC, Southern California Edison, Stanford and Toyota InfoTechnology Center and Utilities Telecom Council.

Keynotes and expert panel sessions during this invitation-only event will address a range of technology topics, including converged optical networks, LTE, cloud computing, and the application ecosystem. Also discussed will be new market opportunities enabled by ultrafast networks in online education, mobile applications, vehicle ‘infotainment’ systems, efficient transportation, building energy management and utility control systems.
