Fujitsu Rings-Up POS and Store Management Software for RadioShack

GlobalSTORE, StoreCENTER and ReturnCENTER Applications to be Deployed by Specialty Electronics Retailer

Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc.

Richardson, TX, October 08, 2008

Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. today announced its GlobalSTORE, StoreCENTER and ReturnCENTER software has been chosen by RadioShack Corporation to automate the retailer’s point-of-sale (POS) operations and create a centralized store management and returns management system. Under the agreement, Fujitsu’s software will be deployed in 4,500 RadioShack locations across the United States starting in 2009.

"Fujitsu’s software was selected to give us flexibility and functionality in meeting our future business needs in a timely and effective manner," said Michael Kriesman, senior director of store systems at RadioShack. "We look forward to working with them to integrate point-of-sale solutions across our enterprise."

Fujitsu’s GlobalSTORE application is a full-featured, customizable POS, cash management and back office platform. It runs on a Microsoft Windows®-based integrated retail software platform and employs service-oriented architecture (SOA). Its retail-specific, modular architecture and rapid-development tools make the software easy to customize and maintain, which lowers a retailer’s total cost of ownership.

“RadioShack is one of the most respected consumer electronics specialty retailers in the United States, processing millions of transactions each year,” said Danny Westheimer, regional vice president of sales for Fujitsu. ”We’re excited they are placing their trust in Fujitsu’s family of retail software solutions for their POS system.”

Fujitsu’s StoreCENTER software provides centralized store management by aggregating and reporting data from across the retail enterprise in real-time. This up-to-the-minute access gives retailers the ability to operate more efficiently by identifying opportunities at the store level and responding accordingly.

ReturnCENTER is Fujitsu’s centralized returns management application that manages returns across channels (in-store, phone and Internet) and gives retailers greater flexibility and control over returns management, while offering a robust reporting system that provides critical insight into those activities that have the greatest impact on the returns process.
