Fujitsu Demonstrates Pervasive Power for Grocers at the 2008 FMI Show + Marketechnics

Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. today announced that a suite of solutions from Fujitsu and its partners will come to life in demonstrations at the Food Marketing Institute’s The FMI Show + Marketechnics, May 4-7, 2008 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

“The FMI Show plus Marketechnics is the biggest show in the grocery industry and presents the best platform to showcase how the pervasive power of our retailing solutions can enhance the shopping experience,” said Ed Soladay, chief operating officer at Fujitsu Transaction Solutions. “Attendees can drop by our booth and experience how our grocery solutions can positively impact store operations and customer service.”

Here are a few examples of what’s in store at Fujitsu’s booth:

The Carousel model will also demonstrate Green Box and MyBag software features that enable retailers to eliminate the use of plastic bags. You’ll see how our U-Scan 4 can be converted to a 6 bag unit with tiered scales. The Payment Station can be used at checkout to fully enclose and automate cash tendering, thus bolstering loss prevention efforts and helping redeploy labor from till counting to the sale floor.
  • Deli Self-Service – See how improving deli queues with DeliVision™ and Fujitsu’s U-Serv® kiosk significantly enhances the customer experience and increases deli sales.
