About Fujitsu Laboratories of America

We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd., headquartered in Sunnyvale, California with additional facilities in Richardson, Texas.

Globally, Fujitsu Laboratories has a rich 50 year history of cutting edge innovation and research, supporting the global Fujitsu Group’s brand promise “shaping tomorrow with you.” From the first relay-based mainframe to one of the fastest supercomputers, the K computer (developed with RIKEN), Fujitsu has led the way in advanced information and communications technology (ICT) research. Some of the many other innovations that originated in our labs include High Electron Mobility Transistor (HEMT), color plasma display, palm vein authentication and quantum dot single photon emission.

At Fujitsu Laboratories of America, we leverage our human networks in Silicon Valley and “Telecom Corridor,” collaborating closely with industry, universities, and research institutes. Our research areas include verticals such as healthcare, education, and smart energy as well as technical areas from chips to the cloud – platform technology, network systems, computer security, software validation, and wireless communications.
