Information exchange between users and the operating system
Current version: V15.2
Job variables are data items which enable the exchange of information between individual users on the one hand, and between users and the operating system on the other. The user can create and modify job variables himself, as well as instruct the operating system to set predefined values for selected job variables whenever certain events occur. Job variables provide the user with a versatile tool for job control. They enable the simple definition of dependencies within complex production runs and provide the foundations for job processing based on eventing.
