Fujitsu announces ScanSnap Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard Update for ScanSnap S1500M, S300M, S510M, and S500M.
Updating select ScanSnap models listed above is a two part process. The first update restores features associated with ScanSnap Manager and the second update restores features associated with FineReader for ScanSnap.
Note: These updates are for compatibility with Snow Leopard only. If you are using an earlier Mac OS, do not install these updates.
Step 1: Ensure you have administrator privilege before executing the update. About administrator
Step 2: The older version of ScanSnap Manager for your model must be presently installed in the Applications folder.
Step 3: Close unnecessary applications and quit ScanSnap Manager.
Step 4: Exiting ScanSnap Manager under Snow Leopard can be accomplished in two ways.

Step 5: Download the appropriate ScanSnap Manager update for your model.

Step 6: You may download file to computer and double-click or follow download queue install instructions. You may need to select “Open” to install specific update files over the internet during the install process.
Step 7: Exit ScanSnap Manager as described in Step 4 above.
Step 8: Click to download the FineReader for ScanSnap update below.

Step 9: You may download file to computer and double-click or follow download queue install instructions.
Step 10: When finished, execute ScanSnap Manager from the Applications folder or restart computer to begin using ScanSnap once again.
