Fujitsu America, Inc.

Mikito “Mike” Kiname is president and CEO of Fujitsu America, Inc., the management company of a group of Fujitsu-owned businesses operating in North, Central and South America dedicated to delivering Fujitsu products, solutions and services in ICT to clients in the Western Hemisphere. He has responsibility for the company’s regional strategy and direction for the Fujitsu portfolio of business and technology consulting services, digital solutions, computing platforms and industry solutions. Mike reports to Hidehiro Tsukano, head of the Americas region, Chairman of the Board and president and CEO of Fujitsu North America Holdings, Inc. and Chairman of the Board of Fujitsu America, Inc.

Prior to taking on this role in November of 2018, Mike was president and CEO of Fujitsu Network Communications, where he led the company’s Optical and Wireless Network products and service solutions business. Previous to taking on this role, he served as head of Global Marketing for Fujitsu Limited.

Kiname-san joined Fujitsu Limited in 1981 and has served in a wide variety of leadership roles during the course of his career. He has spent more than 10 years in Texas to fulfill these roles, and also held several other global leadership positions including vice president of the Europe Division in the Fujitsu Global Business Group, and CEO of Fujitsu India Private Limited.

Mike will continue to reside in Texas. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from Waseda University in Shinjuku, Japan.

Mervyn Eyre

Mervyn Eyre
Head of Caribbean and Latin America (CALA)

Mervyn Eyre serves as head of Fujitsu Caribbean and Latin America (CALA), where he is responsible for managing the strategic direction and general management of Fujitsu operations and assets in this region. Leveraging more than 25 years of experience in the global ICT industry, Mervyn has been instrumental in leading the introduction of managed and cloud-based digital services in the region, opening up new, agile, pay-as-you use consumption models to the enterprise and government. He is focused on driving growth and value from digital for Fujitsu and its clients, leveraging a human centric, co-creative approach that transforms business operations, the customer experience and employee experience. 

In addition to his regional responsibilities, Mervyn previously served in an interim role as Head of Managed Infrastructure Services for the Americas, where he was instrumental in leading the successful transition and transformation, delivery management and strategic engagement for Fujitsu’s largest customers in North America. Subsequent to this role, he was appointed to lead the strategic partner alliance and enhancements with Microsoft Azure in support of Fujitsu’s multi-cloud strategy in the Americas region.

Takeshi Kurita
Chief Financial Officer
Fujitsu Americas

Takeshi Kurita is Chief Financial Officer for Fujitsu Americas with overall responsibility for financing, accounting and facility management for the region. This includes the strategic formulation, review and approval of financial budgets and long-range plans, and ensuring controls for revenue, expense, debt and cash management.

Kurita brings over 30 years of experience and has a rich background from serving in a variety of finance roles during his career. Prior to taking on this role in 2020, Kurita served two years as VP Finance for Fujitsu America, Inc., directly after serving two years as Senior Director for Fujitsu Limited. Prior to joining Fujitsu, Kurita worked at Mizuho Bank, primarily engaging with various financing businesses in and outside of Japan.

Kurita-san received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Keio Gijuku University in Tokyo, Japan and currently resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Asif Poonja

Asif Poonja is Head of Services Delivery at Fujitsu Americas with overall responsibility for the strategy, execution and end-to-end delivery of the region’s digital consulting and professional services business. The portfolio of solutions includes application transformation, enterprise application, retail solutions and shared services, managed services, and growth platform services.

Asif possesses a wealth of expertise acquired over more than 22 years of consulting, operational support and leadership experience. Specializing in digital transformation including SAP, Oracle, SaaS solutions, cloud migrations and offshore management, he has led the successful design and delivery of many complex programs, and provided keen strategic direction and inspiring leadership at Fujitsu and other large global organizations.

Relentlessly customer-centric, Asif builds credibility and trust with clients by ensuring the Delivery organization provides clients choice and flexibility, delivering the highest quality solutions at the most efficient costs. He fuels a continuous improvement culture across his teams and drives deep, genuine and lasting client relationships through a well-connected and effective service delivery.

Asif is a graduate of Fujitsu’s highest executive management training program, the Executive Global Knowledge Institute Advanced program and received Fujitsu’s highest-level accreditation for incorporating innovation, design thinking and futurist approaches to business success.

Asif holds a Bachelor of Math degree in Business and Information Systems from the University of Waterloo. While completing his undergraduate program, Asif volunteered for the Aga Khan Development Network, which supports sustainable development projects globally.

Asif lives in Toronto with his wife and two children.

Hideya Sugishima

Hideya Sugishima
Head of JOC Sales
Fujitsu Americas

Hideya Sugishima is Head of Sales for Japanese Originated Companies (JOC). In this role, he and his team are responsible for all sales activities for JOC customers operating in the Americas region.

Prior to taking on this role in 2014, Sugishima-san was responsible for sales to JOC customers in the automotive industry in the Americas, a role he took on in 2010. Prior to this, he worked in the Japan Sales, Manufacturing and Distribution Industry Sales Group, where he developed global strategy for automotive industry and directed global business development, sales and marketing activities.

Sugishima-san has been with Fujitsu for more than 30 years primarily in Sales, Strategy and Marketing roles in Japan and the US. He is based in New York City.

Cory Jones

Cory Jones
Head of Marketing
Fujitsu Americas

Cory Jones is Head of Marketing for Fujitsu Americas, where he is accountable for turning company strategies into marketing programs that enhance market reputation, expand customer relationships and drive incremental revenue. This includes the full marketing lifecycle including go-to-market strategy, industry marketing, demand generation, events, analysts & third party advisors, customer marketing, corporate communications, client satisfaction & Net Promoter programs, market intelligence, operations & technology, bids & proposals, and more. He also leads the Executive Management Committee and is involved in mid- and long-range strategic planning.

Cory brings over 25 years of experience in leading technology, telecom, software and services businesses like Nortel Networks, Nokia, Avaya and Frontier Communications, in addition to several agency roles earlier in his career. Cory graduated from Texas Tech University and currently resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with his family.

Dan Braun

Dan Braun is chief legal officer of Fujitsu Americas with overall responsibility for the region’s legal affairs and legal issues related to the company and its subsidiaries.

Dan has been with Fujitsu for more than 19 years, having previously provided legal support for the consulting and infrastructure services business units. Prior to the formation of Fujitsu Americas, Dan served as general counsel for Fujitsu Consulting, Inc. Before joining Fujitsu, Dan practiced Corporate Law at law firms in the New York metropolitan area.

Dan received his J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Rutgers College.

Jeff Meier

Jeff Meier
Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer
Fujitsu Americas

Jeff Meier is Chief Information Officer for Fujitsu Americas and is responsible for the Information Technology Group for Fujitsu subsidiaries in the Americas region, covering Operations, Enterprise Applications, Electronic Business Solutions and Cyber Security for Information, Communications and Technology (ICT).

Jeff also serves as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the region, working closely with the Fujitsu Global CISO organization to manage the company’s internal cyber-security program.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University and a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed post-graduate work at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, and Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina.

Susan Danko

Susan Danko
Head of Human Resources
Fujitsu Americas Region

Susan Danko is Head of Human Resources, Fujitsu Americas. She joined Fujitsu in 1992. During her tenure at the company, she has occupied positions of increasing responsibility in human resources including staffing manager, HR business partner, director of human resources, VP and SVP human resources.

Prior to Fujitsu, Susan worked as a branch manager and senior recruiter in the recruiting agency industry. She is very active in support of various community causes such as the Seven Loaves food pantry, to which Fujitsu is a regular donor, and the Richardson ISD Excellence in Education Foundation, of which she is a board member. She is also an executive board member and past international president of the Alpha Omicron Pi fraternity.

Susan holds a BS in business from Purdue University, and a Professional HR (PHR) certification.
