Jamaica

Account Manager (Sales)

The successful candidate will report to the Vice President of Sales-Jamaica.

  • First Degree in Business Administration.
  • Two (2) years above-target achievement in sales.
  • IT background preferred.

The responsibilities will include:

  • A working appreciation of the complete Solution Life Cycle through all stages of sales and product delivery.
  • Effective management of customer relationships and development of customer confidence through a consultative approach to selling.
  • The use of appropriate business solutions to the clients' preferences and the Account Strategy.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.

Barbados

Senior Systems Engineer: Solaris/UNIX Platform Specialist

The successful candidate will report to the Vice President of Service Delivery-Barbados.

  • A BSc. Degree or equivalent qualification in a computer-related discipline.
  • 3 years or more of practical working experience in the IT Industry.
  • UNIX Cluster and Storage Systems experience.
  • A good generic working knowledge of current networking and security technologies.
  • Sun certifications or similar UNIX-related certifications (e.g. SCSA/SCNA, CompTIA Linux+, LPI's LPIC1/LPIC2) would be an asset.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Design, Installation, Configuration and Administration of UNIX based systems.
  • Tuning and Optimization of UNIX servers and related components to achieve high availability and performance of the various business applications hosted on them.
  • Design, Implementation and Maintenance of Enterprise Backup and Recovery solutions.

The successful candidates should also:

  • Be highly motivated with good interpersonal skills, good self-discipline and efficiency.

Trinidad

Human Resources Coordinator

The incumbent will assist in the delivery of HR services to both the management and employee groups regionally. This will include the administration of operational activities as well as involvement on company projects under the supervision of the Vice President, Human Resources.

Manage the training and development function which includes the following key areas:

  • Development of a Company Training Plan based on organizational needs and through needs assessment, based on individual employee developmental challenges/ advancement potential.
  • Administration of all training programmes including technical certification programmes through collaboration with Fujitsu managers, employees and business partners.
  • Registration of employees into relevant training programmes.
  • Co-ordination of on-site training sessions ensuring that facilities and resources are available.
  • Negotiate with business partners for best prices.
  • Maintenance and updating of the Company Training Plan including the employee technical skills database.
  • Advise employees and their line managers of certification examination dates and other pertinent information and monitor employee registration to encourage compliance to requirements.
  • Conduct orientation and induction programmes for new employees.
  • Administer the educational assistance programme.

Recruitment Trinidad and Barbados

  • Guide the recruitment process to ensure compliance to company policy .
  • Maintain and report on staffing levels in both islands.
  • Short-list applicants through telephone screening, and provide assessment as a member of the interview panel for junior level positions.
  • Conduct reference checks.
  • Arrange pre-employment medicals. (proposed)

Employee Relations

  • Administer the Employee Assistance Programme.(proposed)
  • Administer the Employee Wellness Programme. (proposed)

Projects

  • Assist in the development and/or refinement of company programmes such as an Employee Recognition Programme, Employee Assistance Programme, and Performance Management System.

Miscellaneous

  • Any other related duties as may be assigned.

Reports To

  • Vice President, Human Resources - Caribbean

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management with a concentration in Human Resources Management.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience in a similar role.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Sound knowledge of human resource management and industrial relations legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint…)
  • Ability to function as a team player.
  • Demonstrated initiative.
  • Focus on results.

Logistics Assistant

The incumbent will coordinate/schedule all deliverables, expressed, implied or associated, with all logistical issues related to Projects and Strategic Accounts with an ultimate aim of ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction. Ensuring all shipments are physically received promptly into the warehouse, and into Fujitsu’s accounting system, and that our customer delivery or roll outs are completed efficiently.

Regular Duties:

  • Contact local Customs Brokers to ensure proper clearance and delivery of all orders. Supervise the activities and functions of the team for which the Logistics Assistant is ultimately responsible
    • Contact suppliers to get information on the status of all orders.
    • Update online tracking system on a daily basis with information relating to Project and Strategic orders and advise on the delivery dates of same to Managers, Sales Representatives, Project Managers, Customer Service Representatives, and warehouse personnel.
    • Contact courier/agent companies eg. DHL, FedEx, Azee and also various airlines for the arrival date and time of shipments sent to by suppliers and freight forwarders.
  • Contact local Customs Brokers to ensure proper clearance and delivery of all orders.
  • Contact suppliers on discrepancies with orders, and find solutions to correct these discrepancies.
  • Ensure suppliers' invoices are available to our freight forwarders so not to hinder shipping to end destination.
  • Ensure packing slips for shipments received are available in order to complete Goods Receive Note (GRN) in Fujitsu’s accounting system – Great Plains. On lack of packing slips ensure serial numbers are noted from physical boxes on placement into location in warehouse
  • Maintain complete and up- to- date contact lists.
  • Ensure that documents are produced for all transactions and filed properly and on-time for easy access
  • Supervise the off loading of containers and delivery into warehouse, ensuring deliveries placed in proper location.
  • Assist with deliveries that need Fujitsu presence on site
  • Serve as escalation point for team
  • Reviewing /implementing best practices in order to achieve maximum value, while controlling cost factors.

Occasional /Specific Assignments:

  • Contact supplier regarding the return of damaged or defective goods.
  • Make claims on various airlines when goods are lost or damaged in transit.
  • Contact Customs Official when there are problems with the clearance of any shipment
  • Collect shipping documents from courier companies and deliver to customs brokers.
  • Make overseas trips to collect urgent goods from suppliers.

  • Any other related duties as may be assigned.

Major Decisions taken by Incumbent:

  • Prioritization of Tasks
  • Determining the procedures needed that will ensure that orders are delivered, in the shortest possible time and most cost effective way to customers.
    • This involves advising freight agents and suppliers of how to ship goods to ensure that goods arrive into Trinidad on time.
  • Deciding which broker should be used to affect the most efficient result.

Reports To:

  • Regional Logistics Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Certificate in Logistics and/or Undergraduate Degree
  • Certificate in Project Management

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Understand customs clearance process in Trinidad, keeping abreast of changes with the system.
  • Intimate understanding of the various inventory processes
  • Working knowledge of integrated Accounting Systems - Great Plains or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Must be proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Advanced computer competency in Microsoft Office and internet use;
  • Ability to be resourceful and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team and independently;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently.
