F²MC-16L/LX CPU-Core Architecture

CPU-Core Features
While inheriting the AT architecture of the F²MC family, the instruction set supports the C language and extended addressing modes, and contains enhanced signed multiplication and division instructions as well as a substantial collection of improved bit-manipulation instructions. In addition, long word processing is now available by introducing a 32-bit accumulator.
Fujitsu's 16-bit CPU core features easy programming with plenty of data types such as bit, nibble, byte, word and long word, together with 23 addressing modes. The 16MB memory address range is accessible using bank or linear addressing modes, which are fully supported by the optimized instruction set.
On-chip registers such as USER and SYSTEM stack pointers, together with supporting instructions, provide additional advanced support for RealTime Operating Systems.
The 16LX family is upward compatible to 16L family. 16LX family is high performance and low power with embedded Flash device series, while the 16L family is low power and low voltage. Several F²MC-16LX family devices have a full-featured CAN/LIN bus protocol controller, which operates as an on-chip peripheral for automotive and industrial applications. The details of these parts are included in the data library.
