CAS (Cartridge Access Station) for improved tape-cartridge mounting/dismounting
ETERNUS LT270 S2 has slots, called Cartridge Access Stations (CAS), that simplify the mounting/dismounting of tape cartridges.
A magazine is used to load each CAS slot and each magazine can hold up to 10 tape cartridges. Up to two magazines can be mounted at a time.
Each magazine can be managed as a generation.
