Access security - Host Affinity
For volume access security from multiple servers, the Host Affinity function defines the access restrictions between HBAs (host bus adapters) of servers and the logical volumes of disk storage systems. The access restrictions are defined by WWN (when connecting with Fibre Channel).
Benefits
- Permits or denies server access to each volume for full access security
- Enables an administrator to assign dedicated LUNs to each server
