Disaster Recovery by Remote Location Backup Remote Copy using iSCSI Interface (Remote Advanced Copy function (REC))
ETERNUS AF/ETERNUS DX (herein after called "ETERNUS") provide an easy installable disaster recovery capability via direct network link.
In this case, connection between the ETERNUS is via iSCSI interface over an IP network. This allows ETERNUS to provide a disaster recovery solution at reduced cost, as no tradition appliances such as fibre channel switches and SAN gateways are required.
In addition, ETERNUS AF and ETERNUS DX S2 and later support replication between common models and newer/previous models, as well as N to 1 integrated backup. These capabilities enable flexible system configuration matched to requirements.
