AP1000 (1992)

  • Computers
  • Supercomputers

The first scalar parallel supercomputer from Fujitsu, introduced in 1992. It achieved linkage of high-speed networks using SuperSPARCs as processing elements (cells). Its three types of communication networks increased its performance and functionality of communication between processors, making parallel processing of large cell quantities (16 to 1024) possible. Its peak performance in the maximum configuration was 51.2 GFLOPS.
