  • Mainframe Computers

A large-scale general purpose computer introduced in 2002 which was the world's fastest, employing CMOS technology with world-leading 0.13-µm copper wiring. The GS21 600 model group consisted of top-level single-cluster models with 16 TCMP-structure CPUs, which achieved the world's fastest system processing capacity of 3,000 MIPS for CMOS large-scale general purpose computers. Compared to the GS8900 model group, the previous top-level models, they had 1.7 times higher performance in a single processor, and additionally had roughly 15% lower price-to-performance.
