Fujitsu’s FUTRO S900 Dual Core Doubles VDI Performance

Munich, August 09, 2012

Fujitsu today strengthens the top end of its extensive thin client portfolio, providing a powerful new option specifically designed for memory-sapping media applications in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments. The Fujitsu FUTRO S900 Dual Core, now available to order, is the company’s first thin client with a dual core processor. With market demand high for powerful thin clients, the Fujitsu FUTRO S900 Dual Core virtually doubles performance in a VDI environment compared to models with single core processor.

Fujitsu’s innovative FUTRO S900 Dual Core provides the processing capabilities for video conferencing and other multimedia applications, while packing in all the advantages of thin clients. Because most of the computing is done on a server, thin clients are less expensive, easier to manage and more reliable than traditional desktop PCs – yet the end-user experience remains the same. Fujitsu’s innovative Scout Management Tool combines a wide range of administrative IT functions, vastly simplifying the otherwise time-consuming tasks of device management.
