Fujitsu prepares for the Age of Agentic AI with Expanded Functionality of On-Premises Private GPT Solution
Munich, February 26, 2025
Fujitsu today announced it’s preparing for the age of Agentic AI for enterprise with a Private GPT solution that guarantees data sovereignty by processing data locally within on-premises private infrastructures. Fujitsu Private GPT is a fully operational and complete AI solution backed by a “test-before-you-invest” initiative to help businesses overcome the specialized and costly infrastructure hurdles associated with building a business case for AI. Organizations in Europe want to leverage GenAI due to the measurable benefits for users (e.g., knowledge management systems), as well as quality and efficiency gains for the company, but are facing challenges with data privacy and data sovereignty. The answer is an on-premises trusted solution that is fully compliant with EU regulations to gain real business outcomes as without this the benefits from GenAI do not outweigh the risks. Fujitsu Private GPT is a secure on-premises offering, designed for the European market, restoring the company’s full control and ownership of their data and AI.
The newly available Private GPT 1.3 marks Fujitsu’s latest milestone. It delivers on its evolving technology roadmap for AI and provides access at lower prices, introducing subscription options alongside a perpetual license. Additionally, Fujitsu developed a compatible MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, which is now available to use with Private GPT for free. It delivers the first on-premises Private GPT solution worldwide, offering the complete stack of hardware, software and services with the MCP server functionality - providing a foundation for the agentic age of AI. This delivers universal connectivity without compromising the robust security and data sovereignty of Private GPT through controlled access to external systems, including databases and files.
This complements the new version 1.3, which also introduces API integration, plus support for a wider variety of file types and sources, and a new smaller-scale pricing model for small-to-mid-size enterprises (SMEs).Along with the traditional perpetual pricing model as well as the new SME model Private GPT can also be acquired through uSCALE (including capacity management services)to offer flexible options for all companies to start their adoption of a trusted European AI.
Enterprise customers already use Fujitsu Private GPT to efficiently, accurately and securely add AI augmentation to workloads while ensuring that their most valuable data remains sovereign and protected. Introducing version 1.3 adds three powerful capabilities through API integration to Fujitsu Private GPT. Chat API empowers customers to seamlessly integrate custom chat solutions. Source API enables efficient upload and file management for streamlined file system control without relying on a web interface. User API allows the fluid integration of existing workflows with precise user management and control.
Fujitsu Private GPT version 1.3 is now available directly from Fujitsu and its vibrant channel ecosystem. Its pricing starts at EUR91,000 for 10 users and 3-year subscription (prices may vary according to region). Eligible markets are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
