Hong Kong, July 20, 2001 — Fujitsu Hong Kong Limited today introduces the Pen Tablet Stylistic LT C-500 which ensures working mobility with compact convenience. Now the most up-to-date information is stored directly on the pen tablets for easy and convenient access.

Pen Tablet is an evolution of the notebook-computing concept, optimized for mobility and designed to be convenient, light and ergonomic. Stylistic LT C-500 features a 500MHz Intel Celeron processor, up to 256MB of SDRAM, and a 6GB hard drive. It is smaller than a notebook and weighing in at just 2.5 lbs, thus it is ideal for workers who must perform specific jobs while standing or walking. It is also equipped with a brightness-enhanced TFT color LCD and a liquid-filled digitizer to work well outdoors as well as indoors. The embedded 56K V.90 modem and a 10/100Mbs Ethernet module to help the reduction of time required from office support staff to process off-site documentation. Fujitsu's pen tablets enable field staff to record information into the system only once while actively working at various locations.

The Stylistic LT C-500 is available with a mini-docking station which is with a simple drop-in connection. The mini-docking gives immediate access to the second USB port, PS/2mouse and keyboard, monitor, floppy drive, plus a RJ-45 connection for the 100BASE-TX LAN. Stylistic LT C-500 incorporates several Microsoft® Windows® operation system choices, including Windows 98 with Pen Services 2.0 and PenX 1.7 or Windows 2000 with PenX 2.0.

Stylistic LT C-500 is widely adopted in the US. Using the Pen Tablets, clinicians wirelessly access and update records instantly at the point-of-care. By allowing doctors and nurses to gather information more quickly and easily, the staff can focus on patient care and less on tedious administrative tasks.
