Corporate Profile

Fujitsu has been established in the Region for over 30 years. Although our business has evolved over time there are some things that have not changed – our focus on working with our customers to achieve their business goals and the importance we place on our own employees.

Local Touch - Feet on the ground when and where you need us...

As a leading service provider of business, information technology and communications (ICT) solutions, we have earned a reputation as the single supplier of choice for leading corporate and government organisations.

Our approximately 5,000 employees in the region work from over 100 Locations, making certain our customers are never far away from a Fujitsu location. We have invested significantly in our region including state-of the-art data centres and a local Cloud offering that caters for the unique needs of organisations in Australia and New Zealand.

Global reach - A world of expertise at your fingertips...

On an international scale Fujitsu is a leading provider of ICT-based business solutions. With approximately 156,000 employees supporting customers in over 100 countries, Fujitsu combines a worldwide pool of expertise with innovative systems and solutions to deliver added value to customers.

Globally, we invest over US$2 billion in research and development annually. We are engaged in all aspects of ICT including services, products, consumer technologies and supercomputing research. For our customers in Australia and New Zealand this means that we complement our local customers with the benefit of global expertise. Fujitsu’s Global Business Group ensures that we have every opportunity to leverage our skills, best practices and relationships on behalf of our customers around the world.

Empowered people

Fujitsu’s management structure encourages autonomy and the ability to make major decisions quickly. Our local management team is empowered to respond quickly to customer demands without the multiple levels of international approval often required by our multinational competitors. A recent employee engagement survey found that a high percentage of our staff feel they have the autonomy to do their job effectively – significantly higher than the national average in our industry.

Investing in the future of the Region

Established in the region for over 30 years, Fujitsu is entrenched in Australia’s ICT landscape. We continue to invest in the local region through our people, our capabilities, infrastructure and local R&D capability.

Fujitsu is a major employer in the region. Employing approximately 5,000 people in Australia and New Zealand we make a significant contribution to the local economy and to the local ICT industry. We place a high priority on attracting and retaining staff and fostering a ‘high performance culture’ focussed on helping our customers achieve their desired business outcomes.

Our local service desks, network management centres, and data centres represent a significant investment built from years of experience working with customers in Australia and New Zealand and play a vital role in Fujitsu’s global capability.

Fujitsu has one of the most mature data centre capabilities in the region, with a footprint of over 25,000 square metres and growing. This forms a significant part of Fujitsu’s global total of over 100 data centres. Our data centres provide the underlying platform for Fujitsu’s local and global Cloud capabilities.

Fujitsu operates a Research and Development (R&D) facility in Australia that plays a key role in development of Fujitsu software products for the worldwide market. Fujitsu Australia Software Technology (FAST) provides a unique opportunity for systems and enterprise application integrators, software designers, developers, solution architects and project managers in Australia to participate in key projects on a worldwide scale.
