Fujitsu’s FJcloud Successfully Registered to List of Approved Cloud Services Under Japan’s Information system Security Management and Assessment Program (ISMAP)

Fujitsu Limited

Tokyo, Japan, March 12, 2021

Fujitsu today announced that its Hybrid IT Service FJcloud was registered on the Japanese government’s list of approved cloud services, meeting the criteria for the security assessment program for government information systems, ISMAP (Information system Security Management and Assessment Program). The program is jointly operated by the Japan’s National center of Incident readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity/National Strategy Office of Information and Communications Technology, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Going forward, Fujitsu will continue to provide comprehensive support ranging from installation and construction to the operation and maintenance of highly reliable and secure cloud services for the Japanese government's information systems.

ISMAP Overview

The ISMAP is a program to promote the smooth procurement and implementation of cloud services by establishing security standards required by the government to ensure the use of cloud services whose safety in government information systems has been evaluated in advance. Services that are assessed to meet these standards are registered to a list of approved cloud services. Based on this program, cloud service providers are required to satisfy about 1,150 criteria, including governance standards for the top management, management standards for the administrators and operation standards for the operators. When procuring cloud services, government agencies will as a matter of principle select from the services listed in the cloud service list.

Our Cloud Services on ISMAP Cloud Service List

Fujitsu’s FUJITSU Hybrid IT Service FJcloud-O (1) and FUJITSU Hybrid IT Service FJcloud - BareMetal (2) are now included on the ISMAP Cloud Service List. For government information systems, Fujitsu realizes highly transparent operations by ensuring high availability and security, disclosing devices used in the cloud infrastructure during audits and detailed reporting of service status in the event of an incident upon request from government agencies or auditors. An application for the assessment of the FUJITSU Hybrid IT Service FJcloud-V (3) is also planned for FY 2021.

Future Plans

Fujitsu will continue to expand services including such as corresponding to the requirement for government's system and visualizing and protecting from emerging security threats in our customers' IT environments. By providing a highly reliable and secure IT infrastructure environment, Fujitsu will contribute to the creation of a prosperous and sustainable society.
