Notice regarding directive for Fujitsu from Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications

On April 4th, an incident occurred in Takamatsu City in which the certificate issuing service "Fujitsu MICJET Convenience Store Issuance" provided by Fujitsu Japan Limited mistakenly issued a certificate of residence for a resident who was different from the applicant. As a result, Fujitsu Limited received written guidance from Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications regarding the investigation of the cause of certificate misissuance by the convenience store delivery service and the enforcement of thorough measures to prevent recurrence.
We accept this guidance with utmost seriousness and will implement all measures necessary to investigate the cause of this incident and to prevent recurrence. Going forward, as a company responsible for important social systems, we will make every effort to improve system quality.
