Fujitsu accessibility approach

Fujitsu's commitment to accessibility

The Fujitsu Group (hereinafter Fujitsu) strives to improve and promote accessibility to contribute to creating an equitable and inclusive society in which no one is left behind.
Accessibility is a fundamental right in a digital society, and important for everyone, it is not just for those who identify as living with a disability.
At Fujitsu, we believe that everyone should have easy access to technology, services and information, no matter what their needs or challenges are.

Our goal and accessibility

The purpose of Fujitsu is to "make the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation".
To do this, we need to make sure our solutions and communication are open and easy for everyone to use.
We are taking proactive steps to remove the barriers to accessibility through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, collaborative or investment partners.

We have four focus areas:

1. Easy-to-understand communication

We create guidelines, templates, and tutorials to help make our communications easy for everyone to understand. We work with people who have different needs and experts to make accessibility a priority.

We want all our internal and external digital content to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) AA standard.

2. Accessible products and services

Fujitsu is working to improve the accessibility of our products and services. We want to help create a society where everyone can live comfortably and meet their full potential.
In designing, developing, and operating solutions (products and services), we will consider accessibility and promote service development that consider adjustments required by the user.

3. Inclusive workplace

Fujitsu provides accommodations to make our work environment accessible to all, including during the hiring process. We want to remove any barriers and ensure everyone has equal opportunities. We have processes for requesting adjustments, provide workplace guidelines and training, and welcome feedback from our diverse workforce.

4. Building an inclusive culture

We promote accessibility by talking with people inside and outside our company, including customers, communities, and employee groups. Accessibility is part of our Sustainable Procurement Policy, and we actively seek input from people with disabilities to improve our workplaces and solutions.
