A folding-type mobile phone with waterproof function for the first in Japan. Even though waterproof function was always placed among the top rank of features desired in market surveys, other manufacturers were hesitant in adopting it due to the high potential for problems to occur. Fujitsu, however, continued to steadily develop its waterproofing technology for folding phones and successfully incorporated it into this product in 2007. It became very popular since it overturned the existing idea that waterproof phones have to be tough and big.
