Udo Würtz
Chief Evangelist Data Center Business EMEIA Business Development


Udo Würtz is Chief Evangelist Data Center Business EMEIA at Fujitsu. In this role, he advises customers at C-Level (CIO, CTO, CEO, CDO, CFO) regarding technology and new trends in the IT business.

The primarily focus for him are Strategies and Technologies for the Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) and Hyper Converged Infrastructures (HCI), where he was involved from the very early beginning on. In 2014, he worked temporarily at Fujitsu’s Office in Sunnyvale (Silicon Valley) to advance GTM-activities with VMware in terms of HCI and Software Defined Data Center activities. In this role he counsels customers to develop a better understanding of technology distinctions in the Hyper Converged market and how to setup-up an effective and clear strategy for the Digital Transformation from the Traditional IT Model to Software Defined. He developed several White papers for customers, as well as presenting SDDC and HCI related topics for C-Level audience.

In addition to it, he drives Sales and Pre-Sales activities for Key-Accounts in the Data Center and Service Provider Business for products, solutions and services. Udo joined Fujitsu in 2014. Prior to this, he was in charge as Head of Global Operations & Infrastructures at Rödl & Partner, a Multinational audit and tax consulting company with offices in 40 countries worldwide and responsible as CEO for their affiliated company, a cloud service provider where he was involved as a Co-founder right from the start. In this role, he was appointed to the cloud-task force “Security” of the Federal Ministry of the Economy in Berlin.

Udo began his career in Germany as an engeneer and application developer. He joined Libri, an affiliated company of Max invest AG (TchiboGmbH, BeiersdorfAG) as IT Sales and Services Specialist.

Working nearly two decades as CIO for DBH/Hugendubel, a huge multimedia Retailer with branch offices in Europe, he became a Managing Partner at Paragon Data, the outsourced IT-division and took the responsibility of the new foundation of two Data Centers, compliant with the rules and guidelines of the BSI, the German Federation Office for Information Security.

He was Qualified as best in the State of Hessen with distinction from the State Prime Minister in terms of his Office Information Electronics Engineering Training and has a Dual Degree in Electronics & IT. Udo is certified in accordance with ITILv3, COBIT5 and PRINCE2.

His passion is golfing with a fairly handicap. He enjoys spending time with his family and travelling.



Frederico Carvalho
META Regional Business Director, Intel Corporation


Frederico has been with Intel for over 15 years. He started his career by establishing Intel’s reseller channel in Portugal and continued by developing Intel’s business into the Government and Corporate areas. He became becoming the company’s Country Manager for Portugal in 2003. In 2005 Frederico moved to Spain as the manager of the team responsible for Intel’s enterprise business representing over 3 million personal computers and server business. Between 2008 and 2010 he lived in South Africa and was responsible for the creation and implementation of Intel’s business development expansion strategy in the Sub-Saharan region where he established and developed relationships with Governments and large corporations. In 2010 Frederico became a Solutions Architect for EMEA and worked with Governments to advise and assist them in their strategies for the increase of usage of technology and internet in different areas namely Education, Healthcare and in making technology accessible to the citizens. In mid-2014 Frederico was appointed as the Regional Business Director for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa and is responsible for Intel’s business in Enterprise, SMB and Education in the region.



Antonio Raposo
CIO, Volkswagen Group South Africa


Antonio Raposo completed an Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Witwatersrand and achieved further qualifications in Business Management, Work Study and Organizational Management. He has complementary IT qualifications in Project Management, Cisco-CCDA and ITIL practice applied to IT operations and service development. Raposo joined the Volkswagen Group in 1998 as a processes engineer and fulfilled several specialist functions in this division, progressing later to global leadership roles within the Volkswagen group at SEAT Spain, Volkswagen Auto Europa in Portugal and has been the CIO at Volkswagen Group South Africa since September 2013.
