PRIMEQUEST (Server) Please do not exhaust drive letters from C to Z completely. Remain at least one of these drive letters unused. Such full use of drive letters may cause unexpected problem at system start such as delay of volume mount or change of drive letters assignment. Aug. 18, 2011

If a system error occurs, system may not reboot even if automatic reboot is set.
In this case, confirm the LAN driver being used is v 15.1.2 or later for both LAN cards or on-board LAN in GSPB.

If you can’t use driver v15.1.2 or later, reboot the partition from the Web-UI of MMB.

Console PC When using the remote storage function on console PC, a blue screen may be displayed. .
This occurs under the following conditions:

(1)The OS installed in the console PC used for remote storage function is as follows.
- Windows XP
- Windows VISTA
- Windows 7
- Windows Server 2003
- Windows Server 2003 R2
- Windows Server 2008
- Windows Server 2008 R2

(2)And, two USB devices are used as remote storage.

This does not occur in the case of using only one USB device.:
In the example below, the problem does not happen.
- One is used for a USB device and the other for iso image.

If Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 is installed in on the console PC, this can be avoided by applying patch : "KB974711".

If the OS installed on the console PC is one of Windows XP/ Windows 7/ Windows Server 2003/ Windows Server 2003 R2/Windows Server 2008 R2, only use one USB device. Plus, when using Windows XP or Windows 7, Visit the Microsoft web site for more details.

PRIMEQUEST (Server) In workgroup environment, even if NTP is set, the timing of clock synchronization is only once a week.
In the case of showing wrong clock time by switching Home SB, clock time can not synchronize quickly.

PRIMEQUEST (Server) If Service Pack 2 (SP2) is not applied, keyboard and mouse may not operate. Visit the Microsoft web site for detailed information.
Use of a Windows installation CD/DVD with integrated SP2, will prevent this problem.
Therefore, use ServerVeiw Installation Manager (SVIM) to set up the following prior to installation.
Set SP2 CD Settings to [install mode]: Set the "Guide mode" to [application] - [application wizard] - [Add-On Packages]:
Ensure "MS Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 " is checked.
Insert the SP2 CD as guided on screen.
For any other settings, please proceed using the instructions in the SVIM user manual and as guided on screen.

[install mode]:
Select "Guide mode".
[application] - [application wizard] - [Add-On Packages]:
Check "MS Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2".

Please mount SP2 CD according to screen guidance.
For other setting, please operate according to SVIM user manual and screen guidance.

Use a SAS RAID Unit, if internal Hard Disk Drives are required.

PRIMEQUEST (Server) Event information (Shutdown, System error etc) on Windows OS may not be recorded to "System Event Log" in Web-UI of MMB.

Please use "Event Viewer" on Windows OS to check Event Information on Windows OS.

PRIMEQUEST (Server) In a hardware partition with Windows, rebooting of the partition for the first time after switching to the Reserved SB may be required by console message

When estimating the down time resulting from an SB failure, please include the reboot time for the server (after switching to the Reserved SB) and for the failed SB.
