If you are a person who is always buzzing with ideas and come up with out-of-the-world solutions for everyday issues, Fujitsu can help you convert them to reality. It gives us immense pleasure to invite your school to participate in the upcoming “Fujitsu Global Start-up Initiative'', which is a part of the Fujitsu World Tour to be held at Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah on 27th September.

Fujitsu will be giving University students the chance to win an internship with one of the world's leading IT companies. The competition is simple. Students are required to address a particular need that a start-up may require through the power of IT.

About the Competition at the Fujitsu World Tour - 27th September Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah

  • Students or groups (max 5) will each be given an opportunity at the prestigious Fujitsu World Tour event.
  • 5 shortlisted ideas of the Students will each have 2 minutes for their idea to be shown to over 500 senior IT professionals from the public and private sectors from around the world.
  • Presentations will be judged by the audience during the course of the Fujitsu World Tour.
  • Creators of the top 2 winning ideas will be awarded with internships at Fujitsu , along with a cash prize.
  • Details of the internship can be tailored and discussed with the university that we establish our partnership with 5 shortlisted Ideas.

What is the Fujitsu World Tour all about?

  • The Fujitsu World Tour is the largest roadshow of its kind, stopping in more than 25 cities covering all 6 continents.
  • For 2017 our theme is "Human Centric Innovation – Digital Co-Creation".
  • “Co-creation” has always been central to Fujitsu’s approach and in a world of constant digital transformation, we believe co-creation is essential for success. Organizations need to learn fast, act quickly and where possible, scale rapidly. No-one can do this alone.
  • The Fujitsu World Tour will present products, solutions and services which will help companies, their employees and society as a whole to benefit from the potential offered by worldwide networking and new technologies.

How to Apply for the Global Start-up Initiative


Interested students must present the following requisites for their entry in a maximum of 2 pages in Word, PowerPoint or PDF formats.
  • Unique Idea: Identify the start-up need. 
  • Description: Detailed description along with information on what services/products will the idea meet and its impact on the society. 
  • Investor Overview: Justify why investors would be interested in funding your start-up idea.
