FMS (File Management System) is a system is a system for the management of combined BS2000 files in FMS libraries. FMS supports the formats SAM and ISAM as well as text good library-elements and POSIX-files. In this way, FMS can process standard files from the file editor, e.g. source programs, procedures, texts, lists and object modules from the temporary EAM storage.
It provides powerful yet easy-to-learn statements for performing frequently recurring operations (e.g. deleting, updating, inserting or copying records or characters, searching for records containing specific character strings, outputting records, etc.).
