Contextual processing
The data that are input into the Convergence Services Platform are managed by tagging location information and the identity of the device generating the data. This contextual information is used to derive the significance of the data to users. This process of deriving the significance of data to users is called contextual processing.
 Compound event processing
A method of processing data in which each piece of data being constantly collected is treated as an event. The transition state for the event is repeatedly monitored, and when a pre-specified condition is reached, it triggers a scheduled process in which an operation is processed at high speed in memory. It is also referred to as complex event processing (CEP).
A method of constructing web services in which multiple web services are assembled to created the required web service.
 Binary stream:
In contrast to data taking a routine form, such as in the form of letters or numbers, a binary stream is data sent in a special binary form, such as audio or video data.
A method of providing information that aims to be useful to the user by selectively providing the information that each user needs or information that is appropriate to the status of each user.
In the context of data integration, federation is a method of virtually integrating data in which the virtual view of data to be accessed by a user is defined in advance. In this way, when the user makes an inquiry regarding the virtual view, the information required to respond to the inquiry is collected from the data source and integrated into the response to the user. The information taking the form of the virtual view appears as if it actually exists.
