Fujitsu launches a brand-new LIFEBOOK product suite to meet the growing flexible working demands in the ANZ region

SYDNEY, Australia, October 6, 2022Fujitsu Australia announced the launch of its new portfolio of business notebooks, the LIFEBOOK range of high-performance notebooks featuring the 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processors. The launch represents a significant development for the business community in managing the evolving nature of hybrid working. The notebooks will enable businesses to expand their horizons through the flexibility offered by the product suite’s slim and lightweight form factor.

The launch comes in response to the global adoption of flexible working and the growing demand for digital infrastructure that supports businesses as they transition to a transformed work-life model. The technology that existed before the pandemic is now facing constraints in its ability to facilitate hybrid work models. With our daily work changing, the need for high-performance machines to manage multiple workloads has become more important than ever. Enabling employees to work from anywhere in the world can also expand the talent pool available to businesses. Hence, there is an urgent demand for sophisticated devices that can support the transition into the next generation of hybrid work.

Fujitsu's line-up of the brand-new LIFEBOOK models has been designed to empower businesses and end users to work from anywhere at optimum capacity. With the lightest hardware in the market, all notebooks are powered by the latest, 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processors that ensure uncompromised power without sacrificing performance or mobility.

To better support the growing hot-desking and hybrid work environments, the LIFEBOOK models use the same port replicator for both U7 and E5 Series to provide connections to peripherals, with connectivity options for a wide array of environment onboard.

The latest generation LIFEBOOK E5 models are sleeker than the predecessor models, having a smaller footprint and a new slimmed-down profile –19.9mm for the 14” version and 20.4mm for the 15”. While the weight of the LIFEBOOK E5 Series has decreased by up to 25 per cent, the battery capacity and runtime have increased.

The LIFEBOOK models have been designed with reliability in mind, and constructed using Japanese precision engineering and quality supported by 30 years of experience. Featuring the use of environmentally friendly packaging and improved energy efficiency, these devices are aimed at harmonising the link between business and the environment.

The new generation of LIFEBOOK models allows businesses to enjoy peace of mind with the knowledge that their data is protected and secure. Biometric access options of The LIFEBOOK products include a fingerprint sensor or PalmSecure Technology, which is based on Fujitsu’s unique and leading edge biometric palm vein recognition and is regarded as one of the most accurate biometric technologies in the market.

Anna Soriano, Head of Portfolio – Products & Channel, Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, says, “Hybrid work is no longer a luxury. It is now the standard practice of many enterprises. As organisations continue to adapt to flexible working, they are now looking for the technology that will support that shift. The new generation of LIFEBOOK models featuring the 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processors was introduced to support businesses’ ambitions to create digital forward workplaces. These notebooks feature a wide range of devices, designed to suit an array of users including executives, academics, specialists and knowledge workers to meet individual circumstances regardless of their specific business demands.”

The new LIFEBOOK models are available to order immediately from Fujitsu and authorised partners. Pricing varies depending on system specification and country.
