Reflect RAP Banner

Acknowledgement of Country

Fujitsu acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands where we live, learn and work. We pay our respect to Australia's first peoples; and to their elders, past, present and future.

Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

At Fujitsu, we firmly believe in the power of human difference to create a better future in a digital and diverse world. As technology plays a more important role than ever before, we at Fujitsu put people at the centre of everything we do.

Digital technology is transforming business, society and the everyday lives of people. By partnering with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, businesses and communities we can help to shape a tomorrow in which Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians share in an equitable, just, prosperous and rewarding future.

2019 sees the launch of our Innovate RAP, our second RAP and a marker of our continuing ambition and commitment to reconciliation. Our Innovate RAP commits Fujitsu to measureable actions that:

  • Support Indigenous businesses
  • Develop cultural awareness and competency within Fujitsu
  • Cultivate Indigenous careers in the IT sector

Since the launch of our first RAP in 2018, we have:

  • Increased our spend with Indigenous-owned businesses from $4.5k in FY16 to over $272k in FY18
  • Joined a partnership with the Indigenous Defence & Infrastructure Consortium (IDiC)Open a new window, an organisation designed to help Indigenous-owned businesses get exposure in critical government contracts.
  • Fujitsu staff have participated Reconciliation Week activities including a Learning Circle at Macquarie University and a virtual reality experience in offices
  • Published a protocol for Welcome to Country and Acknowledgement of Country for our people
  • Hosting an ‘Indigenous Voices in Tech’ panel at Fujitsu World Tour in 2018
