openSM2
Supplies extensive monitoring data, in order to improve the performance of the systems
Current version for SE Server to control open systems: openSM2 (Open Systems) Package for SE Server V10.0 (for openSM2 (BS2000) V10.0 and V11.0)
Round-the-clock performance monitoring forms the basis for effective and economic operation of IT systems. With the openSM2 product line, Fujitsu offers a consistent solution for the enterprise-wide performance management of heterogeneous IT environments.
openSM2 provides comprehensive online monitoring with configurable alarm management, detailed bottleneck analyses as well as forecasts of future performance requirements. So it’s possible to optimize the performance of systems. The FUJITSU Software BS2000 openSM2 product line consists of the products FUJITSU Software BS2000 openSM2 (BS2000) and FUJITSU Software BS2000 openSM2 (Open Systems).
Monitoring of SE servers:
Performance data acquisition
BS2000, performance data acquisition is managed by the SM2 monitor, which can capture performance data for more than 500 measurement variables. The scope of performance data acquisition can be controlled, since more detailed performance data is required for the analysis of performance problems than for long-term observation and planning of system capacity. The performance data is provided for online monitoring and, if desired, can also be saved to a monitoring file for later analyses.
Online monitoring with INSPECTOR
The simultaneous online monitoring of several systems enables the rapid recognizing of acute problem situations and their causes. The monitoring data of the current system status and the chronological development of the measured values are displayed by INSPECTOR in the form of reports in graphic or tabular form at the Windows PC.
Offline analysis of monitoring files with ANALYZER
With the analysis of monitoring files bottleneck and trend analyses as well as long-term capacity planning can be performed. With ANALYZER, you can generate expressive charts from your performance data with minimal effort. This makes the measured values easy to interpret, so performance bottlenecks can be quickly identified and future performance requirements forecast.
