Fujitsu EMEIA

News facts:

  • Fujitsu TechCommunity shows leading EMEIA channel technologists how to unleash the full potential of digital transformation for their customers
  • Participants can sharpen their skills and gain certification at the onsite Fujitsu Academy
  • Keynotes and interactive workshops run by Fujitsu and technology partners focus on how to address the digital challenges faced by their customers
Munich, May 10, 2018 – Fujitsu is bringing together leading EMEIA channel pre-sales consultants and IT visionaries at its TechCommunity summit to be held May 15-17, 2018, in Lisbon, Portugal. The highly interactive event will discuss solutions to customers’ most pressing digital transformation challenges, ranging from how to leverage AI to implementing new workplace scenarios.
Digital transformation continues to create both new opportunities and new challenges for the channel. In response, Fujitsu’s SELECT Partner Program is constantly evolving, enabling its partners to create new revenue streams and business models to provide customers with the portfolio and support they need. Fujitsu’s technical summit will bring together leading pre-sales consultants spanning all aspects of digital transformation, from data center products and client computing devices to artificial intelligence and IoT.
Dave Hazard, Vice President Channel and Sales Operations at Fujitsu in EMEIA, comments: “We invite the best technical minds in the EMEIA channel to participate at this event. On the one hand, it is about us sharing knowledge with our SELECT partners, but on the other it is about listening to their changing requirements and providing a forum for channel partners to discuss with their peers how to address the challenges that everyone is facing. We receive clear guidance on how to evolve the support we provide, while our partners gain a clearer vision of how to help their customers with digital transformation, supported by a detailed understanding of best practices for technical implementation.”
Sessions at the three-day event start with a technical keynote covering topics that are top of mind for partners and customers alike: “The realities of AI, Machine Learning and Quantum, “The realities of GDPR” and “The opportunities of IoT”. A vast range of technical workshops will provide deep dives into Fujitsu’s portfolio and provide opportunities to discuss technical topics in detail, complemented by networking and best practice sharing sessions.
  • Attendees can also brush up on their skills and update their qualifications at the event. The Fujitsu Academy offers certification exams – making it easy for participants to gain certification in pre-sales and post-sales topics such as Advanced Client Solutions, Virtual Client Computing, Advanced Client Solutions, Hybrid Cloud, Mission Critical Computing, Data Management, Integrated Systems and Hybrid Cloud at no additional cost. The event also provides opportunities for them to advance to more senior levels. Attendance at the event will automatically re-certify those who have previously attained certification.
Technical workshops are highly interactive discussions with a limited number of participants, as opposed to one-way presentations. Each workshop tackles key challenges that channel partners are facing with a combination of a deep dive into technical issues and a highly interactive guided conversation where peers can share concerns, experiences and best practice based on real implementation scenarios. Fujitsu’s technology partners will also be very much involved throughout the summit – with technical workshops and presentations delivered by Brocade, Commvault, Intel, Microsoft, NetApp, Citrix, SUSE, Veritas and VMware.
