Fujitsu Covers Hardware Maintenance Costs for the World’s Most Scalable and Powerful Disk Storage Systems

Fujitsu EMEIA

Luxembourg, October 22, 2015 Fujitsu is enabling enterprises to prepare for unpredictable data growth into the double-digit petabyte range, with the newly introduced FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS DX8700 S3 and DX8900 S3 disk storage systems. These new flagship models of the ETERNUS DX family are designed to deliver zero downtime for business-critical data, including protection against complete system or site failure. Fujitsu is demonstrating its confidence in the system’s end-to-end redundancy by covering hardware maintenance costs for three years1 for selected new ETERNUS models.

Based on the most flexible pay-as-you-grow architecture on the market, the new ETERNUS storage systems allow customers to take a ‘just in time’ approach towards growing their data capacities. This puts an end to over-provisioning and the need for large upfront investments in over-sized systems than can remain unused for much or all of their lifetime.

“In today's highly virtualized and mixed workload environments, enterprises can benefit from using scale-out storage architectures that enable them to linearly scale capacity and/or performance independent of each other while keeping management simple and costs low. Large enterprises – with their no-compromise requirement around performance, resilience, QoS, HA and reliability – are likely to rely on newer, more scalable iterations of established enterprise storage systems for their business-critical workloads,” says analyst firm IDC.2

Pricing and availability

The FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS DX8700 S3 and DX8900 S3 systems are available globally via direct sales and certified Fujitsu channel partners. Pricing varies by configuration and region.
